The City Schools Division Office (SDO) distributed the boxes to select parents of kindergarten and elementary students of Bagumbayan Elementary School, Dagat-dagatan Elementary School, and Navotas National High School.
NovoSchool-in-a box contains textbooks, self-learning modules, activity sheets, and school supplies. Boxes for kindergarten include hygiene kits and toys donated by the Philippine Toy Library.
Starting today (June 30), teachers of the aforementioned schools will conduct a simulation of distance learning classes via online messaging app or through text messages.
According to the city government, parents will guide their children in completing assignments and in achieving learning competencies. Parents are also tasked to pass their children's outputs and modules assessment each week.
Teachers, on the other hand will regularly communicate and coordinate with parents on the progress of their children and for any concern that will arise.
The City Government of Navotas allotted P11 million for the purchase of 49,000 NavoSchool-in-a-box.
