Cardona town creates One-Stop shop for returning Overseas Filipinos, LSIs

CARDONA, Rizal- The municipal government of Cardona has created a One-Stop shop to help locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipino (ROFs).

In its Facebook post, the municipal government said Mayor Teodulo Campo issued Executive Order 15 on June 22 creating a One-Stop shop purposely to help ROFs and LSIs secure the necessary documents like medical certificate and travel authority.

It shall report to the Municipal Task Force against COVID-19, the list of LSIs that have been issued health certificates and travel authority and relay the concerns and issues they face.

The One-Stop shop is also mandated to develop localized processing system or flowchart for the application of medical certificates and travel authority in line with the IATF guidelines, local ordinances, and orders.

It shall also coordinate with the barangay offices for widespread information dissemination and provide on-line assistance and information for the easy access of LSIs and ROFs.

ROFs and Inbound LSIs shall proceed to their barangay for information and assessment while the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) shall asses, record, monitor, and prepare proper documentation and submit a report to the One-Stop shop center

The Municipal Health Office shall ensure that the ROFs are properly monitored by the BHERT and the One-Stop shop shall coordinate with the concerned offices as part of the guidelines provided in the EO.

Outbound LSIs shall first secure certification from the barangay, a medical certificate from the Barangay Health Center, before proceeding to the One-Stop shop.
