15-hours water service interruption awaits 154,000 Manila Water customers

As many as 154,000 customers of Manila Water Company Inc. will experience a one-time water service interruption that will last for 15 hours starting June 25 due to a line upgrade.

“To ensure reliability of water supply in its influence area, Manila Water will be upgrading its transmission network in Binangonan, Rizal,” the company said in an advisory.

“This will result in temporary water service interruption affecting around 154,000 population in 30,755 households, commercial and business establishments in 19 barangays in Taytay, Angono, and Binangonan in Rizal Province,” it added.

The water service interruption is scheduled on June 25 starting at 5 p.m. until 8 a.m. on June 26.

The affected barangays in Taytay are Muzon and San Juan, and San Isidro, San Roque, Sto. Nino, San Vicente, Kalaywaan, San Pedro, Poblacion Ibaba, Poblacion Itaas, and Bagumnayan in Angono.

In Binangonan, barangays covered by the service interruption are Pag-asa, Tayuman, San Carlos, Tagpos, Bilibiran, Pantok, Palangoy, and Darangan.

Manila Water is advising residents of the said barangays to store enough water to supply their needs during the interruption period.

After service is restored, customers are advised to allow a few minutes for flushing before using the water from their taps.
