Some 3.4 million worth of shabu were seized and two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday in Makati City.

In a report to PDEA Director-General Wilkins Villanueva, members of the PDEA “Team Bravo-Delta” identified the suspects as Jonathan Torres and Baldwin Acebo.

The two were nabbed during a buy-bust operation at M.H. del Pilar St. in Barangay Rizal at about 2:20 p.m.

Torres, an online seller, and Acebo, a vendor, were nabbed after an intense surveillance conducted by the agency.

Authorities are now looking into Torres’ online business to find out if he uses this for illegal trade.

Villanueva cited his men for the series of drug bust that netted millions of pesos worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of several drug personalities.

He reiterated his appeal to the public to report illegal drug activities in their neighborhood through the agency’s 24/7 call and text hotlines and the Director General’s own Facebook account.

Villanueva said the government cannot eradicate illegal drugs activities alone, citing the importance of the public’s participation.
