Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office-NCR Eastern District Office (EDO) on Monday reported that more than P42-million worth of shabu were seized in three buy-bust operations conducted in Quezon City and Malabon on June 21.
PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said that at about 1:45 a.m. PDEA agents in coordination with the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) nabbed Datu Boy Nasser, Norhana Nasser and Said Ampakay near a gasoline station in Mindanao Avenue, Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.
The anti-narcotics agents seized two self-sealing transparent plastic packs containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing more or less one kilogram worth P6.8 million, one Mitsubishi Montero vehicle and buy-bust money.
In a follow-up operation conducted at about 8:00 a.m., combined elements of the police and PDEA arrested Kenneth Pareja Maclan, Dennis Santos Roque, Harold Villasana and Carlito Salazar Biglang-awa and confiscated 1.3 kilograms of shabu worth P8.8 million, assorted drug paraphernalia and various firearms and an explosive device and its ingredients at Rockville Subdivision, San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City.
They were identified as the alleged supplier of the arrested drug suspects earlier in Mindanao Avenue.
On the same day at around 6:30 p.m., anti-narcotics operatives of the police and PDEA arrested Tuan Xi Yuan, a female Chinese national during a buy-bust operation in Road 25, Dampalit, Malabon City.
The group confiscated four plastic packs of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less four kilograms, worth P27 million, mobile phone and the buy-bust money.
