Eastern Visayas tallies 32 new COVID-19 cases; regional total surges to 395

PALO, Leyte, June 21 – The Department of Health Regional Office 8 (DOH-8) reported Sunday 32 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19 in Eastern Visayas, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 395.

DOH-8 Director Dr. Minerva Molon said the Divine Word Hospital COVID-19 Laboratory released Saturday night 59 laboratory results with 57 negatives, and two positives for COVID-19. They were tagged as patients EV-364 and EV-365.

Molon said patient EV-364 was a 50-year old male from Naval, Biliran, while patient EV-365 was a 28-year old male from San Miguel, Leyte, who was a locally stranded individual who arrived from Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Visayas Regional Covid-19 Testing Center also released Saturday night a total of 247 laboratory results wherein 217 were negatives and 30 were positives for COVID-19. They were tagged as patients EV-366 to EV-395.
