ILIGAN CITY – Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) Director Brig. Gen. Rolando B. Anduyan informed the public that Travel Authority (TA) will no longer required for movement within the region.
According to Anduyan, this was the result of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) resolution which placed Region 10 under a modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) last June 15.
As such, the police force of the region will no longer require Travel Authority from persons which travel within the region.
But Anduyan said PRO-10 personnel will continue to maintain checkpoints at provincial and regional boundaries to check the minimum health standards of travelers, and to see if they are 21 years old and below or 60 years old and above, as well as those who could just be traveling for leisure.
“Under the new guidelines, the checkpoints will remain to check all the people that they will not take advantage of the situation by going outside without important matters to attend to, and to ensure that the minimum health standards will be observed” Anduyan said.
