4.1-magnitude quake hits Occidental Mindoro

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Occidental Mindoro Friday morning, June 19, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor was recorded at 9:46 a.m., with the epicenter plotted 18 kilometers (km) southeast of Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro.

The tremor was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 km, Phivolcs said.

Phivolcs said no aftershocks and damages are expected from the tremor.
