CALASIAO, Pangasinan—-A man reported to be stealing women’s underwear from his neighbors was arrested by the Calasiao Police in Brgy Banaoang here.
Jeric Itorma alias “Mamals,” 24, a construction worker, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday.
His arrest came following the filing of a sexual abuse case against him by a resident of Alcala town.
A warrant of arrest dated March 09, 2020 issued by Judge Junius F. Dalaten of Regional Trial Court Branch 50, Villasis, Pangasinan was served to Itorma by the Calasiao Police .
Prior to his arrest, Itorma has been under surveillance for almost a week.
Police said the accused was also a subject of a complaint for allegedly stealing women’s underwear in Barangay San Miguel.
“Maraming nawawalan ng panties sa kanilang barangay at ang akusado ang kanilang inirereklamo,” police told the Manila Bulletin.
He was cornered in barangay Banaoang, Calasiao.
During a body search, Itorma yielded two pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 0.20 grams and street value of P2000.
He denied the accusations against him.
“Wala po akong ninanakaw na panties ng mga kabarangay,“ Itorma said and claimed that he was aware of the rape case against him. He also denied using illegal drugs.
