GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Personnel of the Hall of Justice, which houses several local courts and the city prosecution office here, were subjected to quarantine after a court personnel was feared to have been infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Executive Judge Joyce Kho Mirabueno ordered the 14-day self-quarantine of all personnel at the Hall of Justice who may have had contact with a staff member of Regional Trial Court Branch 36.

The RTC personnel was feared to have been infected with COVID-19 because her sister’s husband tested positive for the viral disease in Cotabato City.

Mirabueno said the court personnel was only informed only Wednesday while in the office about the COVID-19 positive test result of her relative.

She said should symptoms manifest among the court personnel while undergoing” quarantine, they should immediately inform the presiding judges of their courts so that health protocols and safety measures will be undertaken for their safety.

Local health personnel have conducted disinfection at the Hall of Justice premises as safety and health protocols against possible infection of the virus.

“All personnel and employees at the Hall of Justice should remain vigilant and cooperative in the implementation of safety health protocols in their respective offices,” Mirabueno said.
