Health worker, welder in Santa Rosa City test positive for COVID-19

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna - The city government here recorded on June 9, Tuesday, two new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing its total count of confirmed cases to 42.

SR P-41 was a 48-year-old female health worker residing in Barangay Malusak. She was exposed to a COVID-19 patient. Though asymptomatic, she has hypertension as comorbidity. She is currently under home quarantine.

SR P-42, on the other hand, was a 35-year old male welder who resides in Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz. He is also under home quarantine.

The city government is undertaking contact-tracing activities for both cases. Their families have been placed under quarantine.

Santa Rosa City has recorded 32 recoveries and three mortalities from COVID-19.
