Las Pinas City adds two coasters to its ‘Libreng Sakay’ program

The Las Piñas city government has deployed two additional coasters that will accommodate city hall employees and city residents going to work, including the frontliners.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said that the coasters now plying the city were are added to the P2P buses that the city government deployed last week. These operate with a 50 percent capacity, following health safety protocols.

Aguilar said that the P2P buses and the coasters are an addition to the six E-jeepneys already serving city health workers since the entire country was placed under an enhanced community quarantine.

She said that the coasters will also be stationed at the pick-up and drop off points along Honda-Alabang, SM Southmall, Casimiro, City Hall, Doña Manuela Subdivion, and Zapote. The P2P buses buses ferry passengers from 6 a.m. up to 5 p.m., while the coasters will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m, as part of the city’s “Libreng Sakay” program from Monday to Sunday.

Aguilar also reminded the riding public to always wear face masks and to observe physical distancing while inside these public transports.
