IMUS CITY, Cavite — Five new COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday (June 8) in Cavite province, bringing the number of total cases in the area to 389.
The Cavite case tracker report showed that Magallanes, a municipality in upland eighth district, remains COVID-19-free.
Sixth District (General Trias) Board Member Kerby Javier Salazar, the chairman on the committee on health, nutrition, and population, posted on his Facebook page the case tracker numbers derived from the tallies of the Cavite Provincial Health Office-Epidemiology and Surveillance as of 4 p.m. Monday.
The tracker revealed that Cavite has 389 confirmed cases, with 30 deaths and 150 recoveries, and 155 probable, 6,503 suspect, and 3,650 negative cases.
The total of 389 was observed to have increased over the last six days by 19, from 370 as of June 2.
The case numbers by city and municipality are as follows: Cavite City, 11; Kawit, 8; Noveleta, 5; Rosario (Salinas), 15; Bacoor City, 110; Imus City, 50; Dasmariñas, 62; General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), 13; Carmona, 13; Silang, 14; General Trias, 25; Tanza, 21; Trece Martires City, 9; Indang, 3; Amadeo, 4; Mendez-Nuñez, 2; Alfonso, 3; Ternate, 3; Maragondon, 6; General Emilio Aguinaldo-Bailen, 2; Naic, 8; and Tagaytay City, 2.

The city government of Bacoor, citing the data of its local health office case tracker, reported on Monday 136 cases total with three new cases.
Of the 136 total, 11 died and 74 recovered. The city has 51 active cases, 25 probable, and 33 suspect.
The local government of Dasmariñas reported 68 cases, 19 active cases, and 119 suspect cases.
Imus tallied 61 cases, with nine deaths, 34 recoveries, and 18 active cases.
The city government of General Trias reported 27 cases, with five deaths and 16 recoveries.
