The Caloocan Police earlier said the six PISTON drivers violated the prohibition against “non-essential” mass gathering and committed “resistance and disobedience to a person in authority.”

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) earlier expressed concern to the six drivers, saying their age bracket is among those who are at most risk to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

One of the drivers who was detained is already 72 years old, and his fellow drivers have poor health conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
