On June 1, hundreds of individuals saw their homes burn down in an eight-hour fire in Barangay Addition Hills.
Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson and Malasakit Movement head, said they prioritized senior citizens and persons-with-disability (PWDs) in their distribution of food packs.
“We went to an evacuation site in Mandaluyong and gave fire victims food packs, of course, courtesy of our generous donors who believe in our advocacy,” she said.
Pialago thanked Indian businessman and philanthropist Majinder “James” Kumar and his colleagues for continuously helping their advocacy.
Earlier, Pialago and Kumar handed out grocery packs to over 300 indigent residents to help them cope with the community quarantine.
“If they want to reach out to us, they may call or text the Malasakit Movement at 09270243403,” she said.
