A 16-year-old girl was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, June 3, by members of the Las Piñas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and confiscated from her about P340,000 worth of shabu.
Colonel Segundo Lagundi, the city police chief, identified the arrested suspect as a certain Pam who is a resident of Katarungan Village, Muntinlupa City.
Lagundi said that Pam was arrested at about 7:30 p.m. in front of a mall located along Alabang-Zapote Road, Almanza, Las Piñas City.
He said that the SDEU operatives confiscated from the suspect four heat-sealed transparent sachets containing shabu weighing 50 grams.
The P500 buy-bust money used by a policeman poseur-buyer was also confiscated in the possession of the suspect.
The city police chief said that prior to the arrest of Pam, she was placed under surveillance after they received several reports that the suspect was peddling drugs in the city.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director General Emmanuel Peralta said that the arrest of Pam would serve as a lesson to the youth to not get involved in any illegal drugs activities.
