SULTAN KUDARAT – The Department of Health (DOH) – SOCCSKSARGEN has confirmed three new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday.
As of 6 p.m. on June 3, the DOH – Center for Health and Development – SOCCSKSARGEN reported that the new COVID-19 patients are all in stable condition.
The report revealed that two of the new cases are females from the province of South Cotabato, with ages 24 and 34, respectively.
The 24-year-old female arrived last May 31 and was found to have a travel history to Cebu, while the 34-year-old female arrived last May 30 and had a travel history to Metro Manila.
South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. posted on his Facebook page that the two COVID-19 cases belong to the locally stranded individuals (LSI) who recently arrived in the province. One is a resident of Koranadal City and the other of the municipality of Tampakan.
The other positive case is a 27-year-old female from the province of Sultan Kudarat who had a travel history in Saudi Arabia, Manila, and Davao City. The said patient arrived in the province last May 29.
The region now has a total of 27 reported COVID-19 positive cases. Of the total number, 10 are from Cotabato City, one from General Santos City, five from the province of North Cotabato, one from Saranggani, six from South Cotabato, and four from Sultan Kudarat.
There are a total of 18 recoveries in the region, and one recorded death. The fatality was an 87-year-old male patient from the province of Sultan Kudarat.
