The Las Pinas City government reminded its residents that curfew hours from 8:00 p.m.. to 5:00 a.m. will remain in the city even Metro Manila was placed under general community quarantine.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar reminded the residents not to be lax and must remain vigilant to comply with the curfew hour set by the city government. Aguilar wanted the city residents to continue to follow the health standard set by the Department of Health to avoid being affected by the corona virus and contain the spread of the disease in the city.

She also wants the residents to continue with the mandatory wearing of face masks in public places. The mayor reminded the city residents that an ordinance approved by the City Council last April 14, requires the use of facemask or other similar protective paraphernalia or equipment in public places within the city and imposing penalties for violation.

Aguilar said that the wearing of facemask is applicable to all individuals, residents, non-residents, traversing or sojourning to all public places within the jurisdiction of the city. She said that every individual is enjoined to wear face mask or any other similar protective paraphernalia when going out of their respective houses. This effort serves as protection from the threat of acquiring the coronavirus disease.

The mayor added that the local police and the barangays stationed at their respective area of jurisdiction will continue to be strict in checking whether individuals in public places are wearing face masks.
