The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DILG) has provided free WiFi for several campuses in Mindanao.
The DICT, in a Facebook post on June 1, said that it has provided free WiFi for Mindanao State University’s Naawan campus and Maigo School of Arts and Trade, and Camiguin Polytechnic State College‘s Mambajao and Catarman campuses.
The program aims to provide students free internet access specially for research for their school work.
Long before the onset of the pandemic, the DICT has been providing free WiFi to campuses in different parts of the country.
Because of the threat posed by the coronavirus, the national government has deemed it best to conduct classes online starting on August.
