Number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Bacoor

IMUS CITY, Cavite – Two more new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases were reported in Bacoor City on Sunday, May 31, which brought the total number in the area to 119.

Bacoor continues to have the highest COVID-19 incidence in Cavite province.

The city government confirmed that Bacoor now has 119 cases, with 67 recoveries and 11 deaths, and 33 probable and 33 suspect cases.

The Bacoor health department identified the two latest cases as Patient No. 118, a 50-year-old woman from Barangay Molino IV; and Patient No. 119, a 40-year-old man from Mambog V.

It also reported that Patient No. 95, a 21-year-old from Molino III, recovered from the disease.

Health authorities reported that, of the 41 remaining active cases involving resident-patients, 35 have been admitted to hospitals – 12 in the National Capital Region (NCR), 22 in Cavite and one in Laguna province, while two are on home quarantine, two are in a quarantine facility, and two in a step-down facility.
