Seven government frontliners in Las Pinas City and a 17 year-old female student were found positive with the coronavirus (COVID19), the city health office confirmed yesterday, May 31. Dr. Ferdinand Eusebio, head of the city health office, said that the eight individuals were additional to the 299 reported confirmed cases of coronavirus in the city and 31 deaths.
Eusebio said that after receiving the result on the swab testing made to the said eight individuals they immediately conducted contact tracing to determine whether said individuals can be placed under 14-day home quarantine or be brought at the Ligtas Center in the city converted isolation facility at the Drug Rehabilitation Center. He said that the contact tracing will also determine whether a patient is necessary to be confined in the hospital.
Based on the Facebook page of the Las Pinas City government last May 31, they also recorded eight employees from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, two market inspectors, a Liga staff, a maintenance staff, and a Kaagapay staff were also found positive with the virus.
For the part of Mayor Imelda Aguilar, she said that her administration is ready to help the government employees who were found positive with virus.
