3-year-old twins recover from COVID-19

DAVAO CITY – Three-year-old twin boys, who have fully recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), have been discharged on Sunday after being placed under quarantine for 34 days.

 

The twins were among the seven confirmed COVID-19 positive discharged on May 31.

Based on the case profiles released by the Department of Health-Davao, the two patients were both residents of Barangay Tigatto, in Davao City who were admitted last April 23 and had manifested the symptoms last April 23 with the same history of exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 positive patient, identified as PH 7284.

The DOH-Davao and Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) have yet to confirm if the two boys were the twins who had been tested positive for COVID-19 based on the April 28, 2020 Regional Situation Update on COVID-19 in Davao Region.

Other patients in the city who have recovered included an 18-year old male from Agdao Proper; 38-year old male from Barangay 23-C; 14-year old female and 15-year old female from Barangay 5-A; and 37-year old female from Barangay Communal.

As of May 31, 2020, the DOH-Davao reported three new cases, bringing the total to 348. The total recoveries were 145 while total deaths at 30.
