Farmer arrested for illegal drug in Kalinga

TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- A farmer drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation by joint police operatives in this city.

Police Col. Davy Limmong, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the suspect as Jomar Wacnang Ayong, alias Batnag, 29, of Lacnog, Tabuk city, Kalinga.

Limmong said the police and personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted buy-bust operation at the vicinity of Triple F Bar, Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City, Kalinga, that resulted in the arrest of the suspect while selling five plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu to the poseur buyer.

Confiscated from the suspect were 50 pieces P1,000 bills, seven P500 bills, two P100 bills, amounting to P53,700 to include the buy-bust money which was used in the operation, five US$1 bills, 1 US$5 bills, US$20 bill, 1 pc 50 funezig bill, one black vivo smartphone, and one motorcycle.

The confiscated shabu, weighing 1 gram, has an estimated market value of P3,000.
