The League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) appealed to the government on Wednesday to give local officials an advance notice on the arrival of overseas Filipino workers in the provinces.
Presbitero Velasco Jr., the LPP president, said in an interview over DZBB.
Velasco said government agencies should inform the LGUs at least two to three days before the scheduled arrival of the repatriated workers.
President Duterte on Monday ordered government agencies to rush the release of COVID-19 test results of over 24,000 returning OFWs staying in quarantine centers so that they can go back to their homes.
