Police seized some P40 million worth of shabu in two separate anti-illegal drugs operations in Bohol that also resulted in the arrest of five suspected drug pushers.
Gen. Archie Gamboa, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said the operation is a proof that there has been no let-up in the campaign against illegal drugs amid the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) crisis.
“Even with the ongoing health crisis, police anti-illegal drugs operations will continue without let-up and will be unrelenting as ever,” said Gamboa.
Gamboa said the first operation was carried out in Talibon town at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday wherein Jamie Dajao was arrested.
Seized from him were four kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P27 million.
Two hours later, a follow-up operation was conducted in Tagbilaran City where two more kilos of shabu wirth P13 million were seized.
Nabbed were Lelit Dajao Sinugbojan, 44; Chellomae Pescura Curayag, 33; Junalyn Abelgas Matura, 32; and Humprey Millana Cenabre, 34.
