Inspired by the Art of Motion, the streamlined body of the HUAWEI P40 Series expresses a lively tension, natural and fluid, as a sense of rhythm.
The design of the HUAWEI P40 Series is based on the Art of Motion concept and inspired by the art of fluidity. The HUAWEI P40 Series embodies the simplistic beauty, turning the natural form into a lively, modern design that is intangibly and seamlessly integrated with nature, similar to the Heydar Aliyev Centre designed by Zaha Hadid.
Water is a source of life. Leveraging innovative display technology, the new HUAWEI Quad-curve Overflow Display is slightly curved from the center to four sides. It’s like a glass filled with water and about to spill but stopped by the surface tension pulling it back.
The HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI P40 Pro+ come with the industry’s first quad-curved display to deliver a balanced yet immersive viewing experience.
One of the best modern product designs is a streamlined design, which symbolizes high efficiency and sophistication while representing change. HUAWEI P40 Series goes beyond the overflow design.
The HUAWEI P40 Pro+ and HUAWEI P40 Pro strike a good balance of round corners and curved edges, ensuring optimal efficiency and that let all content be properly displayed for the best viewing.
The HUAWEI P40 Series is equipped with an upgraded camera based on Huawei’s advanced camera setup and big sensor, creating a form for a smartphone camera.
The design of the camera setup follows HUAWEI P Series’ design, namely the horizontal logo and camera alignment. It features an all-in-one camera module on the back that incorporates all camera components.
On the back, HUAWEI P40 Series uses the same shaped element, a rectangle with rounded corners, in different sizes to arrange all elements, including the whole back panel, camera setup and lens.
Inside the camera setup, multiple lenses are separated from the main camera as the main element. The overall look is vivid, harmonious and rhythmic like floating clouds and running water.
Huawei applied a watch crystal process to manufacture HUAWEI P40 Series’ large camera system – it uses the industry’s largest GDM-textured lens.
Inside the camera system, space is divided by shades and lights to highlight three major lenses that are used to take photos, just like the iris surrounding the pupil in the eye, as well as a sophisticatedly made watch crystal.
Each lens is coated with an iconic blue-green film, shining like a sapphire while maintaining excellent optical performance.
The glass panel and metal frames on HUAWEI P40 Series are smoothly connected for a comfortable grip, exuding a feeling of elegance and fitting snugly in one hand.
On HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI P40 Pro+, the metal frames with curved corners hold the smartphone display, perfectly connecting the smooth edges with the HUAWEI Quad-curve Overflow display.
HUAWEI P40 Series exudes a feeling of an understatement to others, while gives a comfortable grip when held in hand. It’s an elegant creation that tells the story of a sophisticated blend of art and technology.
