During the virtual 122nd anniversary celebration of PN, various units were recognized with a remarkable achievement from January to December 2019.

Brig. Gen. Nestor Herico, 3MBde Commander, said their accomplishments include the dismantling of the Kilusang Larangang Girilya (KLG) North, Sub-Regional Military Area (SRMA)-4E or the New People's Army's (NPA) unit in Palawan, including the arrest of its member in October 2019, and the series of NPA camps and firearms recovery.

"Basically, ang naging accomplishment talaga ng brigade among others are we are able to dismantle the KIG north and we have so many NPA surrenderees and recovered a number of firearms and camps," he said.

"Of course, it was recommended by Philippine Marine Corps. Technically, we can't do this kung kami lang. Nandyan ang mga stakeholders. Maraming dapat pasalamatan. We are able to deliver basic services and conduct successful operations through inter-agency. Sana ay hindi mahinto ang pagtutulungan sa ating lahat," Herico said.

Other awardees are the Naval Intelligence Security Force as the Naval Support Unit of the Year; Littoral Combat Force as Philippine Fleet Force of the Year; and 802nd Naval ROTC Unit as the Naval Reserve Office Training Corps of the Year.
