The city government of Taguig can provide transport service to those who need to be brought to hospitals for treatment or checkups even in other parts of Metro Manila.

In a Facebook post Sunday it was said that the transport service would shuttle patients who would need to undergo dialysis, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy sessions.

The service will also transport elderly people, pregnant women, and PWDs who need to undergo treatment or checkup, as long as theirs is not an emergency case.

The initiative is part of the local government’s effort to provide a viable means of transportation at a time when public transportation is very scarce.

Due still to the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) many public utility vehicles are barred from operating.

After transitioning from ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) to MECQ, some public transportation for certain localities were allowed to operate.

With the sheer volume of commuters who need to report to work, as some private companies have already been allowed to operate as well, the available public utility vehicles (PUVs) may not be enough in some areas.

The Taguig City government realizes this need and has aimed to provide a solution for it.

Those who want to avail of the said transport service need to send a text message to 0961-734-0834, but must do so two days before the actual checkup or medical session.
