The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) issued post-quarantine guidelines for their personnel once the modified enhanced community quarantine is lifted (MECQ) sometime in the future.
“To say that the first six weeks after the [Modified] Enhanced Community Quarantine is lifted will be crucial for UP Diliman is an understatement,” part of the Facebook post on UP’s official page posted on May 15, Friday, read. UP said that the guidelines were created “to protect the health and safety of UPD personnel.”

Under the MECQ many guidelines under the ECQ will be relaxed a bit paving the way for a possible lifting of all restrictions and a return to the conditions before the pandemic happened. Many experts, including those from UP, have warned against an abrupt lifting of quarantine restrictions as they believe this will cause a spike in the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.
