A 36 year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation by members of the Parañaque City Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), who confiscated from him about P84,400 worth of shabu (crystal meth) early Tuesday morning (May 12).
Police identified the suspect as Melbin Cacaitan, of Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City. He is now detained at the Parañaque City police custodial facility.
Investigation showed that members of the SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation against Cacaitan, who was listed in the police drug watchlist, at about 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police recovered from Cacaitan about 13 grams of shabu worth about P84,400 and the P200 buy-bust money.
The confiscated drugs were turned over to the Southern Police Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
Police said that the suspect was charged with illegal possession of drugs.
