84 persons under quarantine in Ilagan City test negative for COVID-19

Ilagan City Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz is optimistic that her city will continue to be a coronirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) free.

This was after 84 persons, who were under quarantine in the city, tested negative for the coronavirus.
Among these were the 15 seafarers who completed their quarantine period at the Ilagan City Hotel Quarantine Facility.
The City Government is continuing its effort to ensure the safety of every Ilagueno, giving them health care and relief packs to returning Ilagan citizens.
Earlier, Diaz directed health authorities to conduct testing for all persons placed under quarantine in the city, using the Rapid Antibody-based test kits.

Diaz also said she wanted to ake sure that Ilagan Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel are not infected with the coronavirus.
He ordered health officers the conduct of rapid testing among police officers even as they continue to be at the frontlines enforcing health and safety guidelines.
Diaz also inspected the Ilagan City Hospital, a 100-bed capacity Level II hospital owned and to be operated by the City Government of Ilagan, which is nearing completion.
