The University of Santo Tomas (UST) announced the refund for unused fees for the academic year 2019 to 2020, and that there would be no tuition increase next academic year.
Varsitarian, UST’s official student publication, reported that tuition and other fees for the next academic year “would be reviewed in consideration of the ‘new normal,'” and the possibility of continued implementation of online learning during the first term of the next academic year.
UST will allow students with remaining installments due in the second term of the ongoing academic year to still enroll for the next academic year.
Staggered payments for unsettled balances will be allowed until December 2020.
Meanwhile, unused fees for the ongoing school year, such field tips, will be fully refunded. Other fees may be refunded to up to 50 percent.
