Filipino-Italian groups lauded for help in relief efforts

The Philippine Embassy in Italy praised the relief distribution efforts of Filipinos who help those in need amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Embassy, in a Facebook post Tuesday, recognized the efforts of the group led by Aurtenciano Miranda, the group Sparta300 led by Gianluca Sena, and Fukyo ODV Protezione Civile led by Anna Basile.

The said groups, in partnership with Municipio di Roma 3 and EU Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD), have ddistributed food packages to families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteers of the said groups also help repack the relief goods for eventual distribution.

As of Wednesday’s posting, the Embassy in Italy said that the relief efforts is already on its eight wave of distribution.

Because of this, the Embassy expressed their appreciation to all the Filipino volunteers.
