The Las Piñas City government announced that the city health office has already conducted swab testing to about 1,200 individuals at the Drug Rehabilitation Center’s converted isolation facility.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said that those subjected to swab testing were health workers, persons under investigation, persons under monitoring and residents belongs to contact tracing.
Aguilar said that the city government also hired five medical technicians coming from private hospitals to assist in the swab testing being conducted by the City Health Office.
She said that they are still looking for additional medical technicians who will assist in the swab testing to ensure that more city residents will be served for the contact tracing.
As of May 4, the city health office recorded a total of 177 individuals who were affected with the corona virus and 18 deaths.
Eight barangays in the city recorded with highest number of confirmed cases of COVID19 namely: Talon Dos with 21; BF International/CAA, Pamplona Dos, Pamplona Tres, and Pulanglupa Dos all with 15 cases each; Manuyo Dos and Talon Singko with 12 cases each and Pilar with 10.
The city health office also recorded 2 probable 94 suspect cases.
