This development came, following the coordination of the provincial government with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), which looked for a hotel that will house the seafarers.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said that the seafarers should finish their 14-day mandatory quarantine at the hotel before they can return to their families.

Initially, there were 27 of them, but one of them, who was reactive to a rapid antibody test, was left in isolation at the healing center.

The health condition of the quarantined seafarers are being monitored regularly, and they are being provided with all their basic needs.
