Extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ)

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the city government implements the EECQ in barangays with two or more confirmed COVID-19 cases and in various streets and/or in congested urban poor areas where fast transmission is most likely to occur.

However, Belmonte said this will still be subjected to daily review depending on the number of cases/recoveries.

She noted the newly reported barangays with two cases have not yet been included in the list as they are still subjected to validation.

As of 7 p.m. of April 30, the Quezon City government has implemented the EECQ in the following barangays:

Tandang Sora, Kalusugan, Ramon Magsaysay, Maharlika, Tatalon, Batasan Hills, Pasong Tamo, Central, San Roque, Paligsahan, Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, South Triangle, Culiat, Bahay Toro, E. Social Amelioration Program (SAP)

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), with the assistance of the city government, has started distributing financial support to its residents under the SAP.

On April 30, payouts were made in Barangays Pasong Tamo (partial), Obrero, Blue Ridge B, Unang Sigaw, and West Kamias.

Belmonte said payouts were previously conducted in Commonwealth, Dona Aurora, Dona Josefa, Valencia, Dioquino Zobel, Escopa 4, Horseshoe, Holy Spirit, Kalusugan, Mangga, Quirino 3A, Quirino 3B, San Bartolome, San Vicente, Tagumpay, Villa Maria Clara, Batasan Hills, Culiat, South Triangle, and Tatalon.

Monitoring of markets

The city government, through its Market Development and Administration Department (MDAD), has issued hundreds of notices of violations to vendors in various public and private markets for overpricing and defective weighing scales.

MDAD chief Procopio Lipana said that four teams will regularly conduct routine inspections of private and public markets including tiangges (flea markets).
