A diagnostic team composed of rural health physicians was created by the Las Pinas City government to conduct more testing on city residents who have symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dr. Daniel Candido, rural health officer in Barangay Pilar, said that the diagnostic team conducted a planning session to map put their work plan.
Dr. Juliana Gonzalez, deputy incident commander on COVID-19, said that the city health workers and those with exposure to the virus will be given priority in testing.
Gonzalez is also asking the city residents who have symptoms of COVID-19 and those that have been diagnosed to immediately coordinate with them so that they could conduct contact tracing.
The City Health Office also conducted 28 swab testing at the Las Pinas Rehabilitation Facility where most of the patients are children who have close contacts to persons with symptoms of COVID-19.
The report showed that the youngest who undergo to swab test was a one-year old child.
