Panelo’s brother passes away

Napoleon S. Panelo, the brother of Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, passed away last Wednesday at the age of 84.

The Palace official said his brother died of a heart attack during his confinement at a hospital in Bulacan.

“My brother Napoleon S. Panelo passed away yesterday morning at Skyline Medical Memorial Hospital at San Jose, Del Monte, Bulacan. He was confined for pneumonia and diabetes and died of heart attack yesterday morning at 8:00 a.m.,” Secretary Panelo said in a statement Thursday.

“He is survived by his wife, Irma Panelo and three daughters, Anna Liza, Joy, and Teresa. He was 84,” he added.

Secretary Panelo expressed gratitude to people who have extended condolences following the loss in the family.

“We request prayers for the eternal repose of his soul. We thank those who expressed their condolences, prayers, and offered masses, as well as those who share in our grief,” he said.
