Militant group Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) on Friday appealed to President Duterte to publicly divulge the total cash and food aid the government has provided to 57-million people in Luzon who will be under lockdown until May 15.

KMP issued the call after Duterte announced that the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region (NCR), Calabarzon and Central Luzon will be extended to May 15.

In the same announcement, Duterte said general community quarantine (GCQ) will be maintained in most areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

“What's obviously lacking from the President’s profanity-laced speech is a coherent report of actual delivery of socio-economic aid and services to the lockdown-affected population. He also failed to present the government's comprehensive medical and health plan on how to flatten the constantly rising curve of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said KMP chairperson Danilo Ramos.

Ramos claimed the President did not answer the main questions raised by many Filipinos.

Among them are where are the promised nonfood and food assistance and what are the government’s plans regarding mass testing and other novel coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) related concerns.
