BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Benjamin Magalong thanked the city’s two new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients, who have decided to identify themselves and help in the contact tracing on persons they may have recently interacted with.

Magalong said Jonover David,33, nurse at the Baguio General Hospital and resident of Woodsgate Subdivision, Barangay Camp 7; and Albert Bumal-o,77, stroke patient from Maria Basa St., Barangay Pacdal, who were diagnosed with the disease agreed to cooperate with the government in its effort to save lives by revealing their identities.

Most of David’s activities were confined at his home and at the hospital as duty nurse at the Medical Intensive Care Unit/Coronary Care Unit of the BGHMC except for a meeting at a friend’s house on April 1.

Bumal-o, meanwhile, also stayed at home most of the time.

Most of the two patients’ contacts have been traced, but they are encouraging persons whom they had contact with to go on self-quarantine and seek medical help if they develop symptoms.
