Paranaque records rise in number of COVID-19 patients

The Paranaque City Health Office recorded an increase of 69 individuals affected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from 278 last April 13 to 347 on April 16.

The number of deaths last April 13 was eight and on Thursday, the office recorded 23 deaths. The number of suspected cases, from April 13 to 16, was slowly decreasing from 841 to 419, while probable cases from 652 to 474.

A barangay that previously had no recorded case of confirmed patient now has one.

The City Health Office recorded the continued rise of COVID-19 patients from the following barangays: San Antonio with 41; BF Homes and San Dionisio both with 25; and Sun Valley with 23.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez is continuing to appeal to city residents to just stay home and help the government in fighting the virus.

Olivarez also asked city residents to pray because of the continuous rise of patients affected with the virus.
