Strict implementation of ECQ ordered in Las Piñas after traffic buildup

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar ordered the local police to enforce strict implementation of enhanced community quarantine after noticing the buildup of traffic in the city.

On the Facebook page of the Las Piñas City government, P/Major Gilbert Valera Valera, Las Piñas City police chief for operation, announced that starting yesterday (April 15) additional deployment of the police will be placed at the identified areas at the boundary of Paranaque, Muntinlupa, and Bacoor City.

The identified areas where additional deployment of the police will take place are the following: Alabang-Zapote Road at the boundary of Las Piñas and Muntinlupa; Canaynay Avenue, C-5 Extension and Diego Cera Avenue boundary of Paranaque and Daang Hari, Marcos Alvarez Avenue and Zapote viaduct at the boundary of Bacoor Cavite.

Valera said that the police will also strictly impose the rule where those who have no home quarantine pass will not be allowed in public places.

Only those who work in basic services, medical practitioners, the police, members of the Bureau of Fire, government officials including the media practitioners, will be allowed.
