In a letter to BARMM Chief Minister Ahod “Hadji Murad” Ebrahim, Adiong said his administration has activated its Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) to help stabilize supply chain and prices of essential commodities in his province.

Adiong said the LPCC needed BARMM’s support such as “laying down of suggested retail prices (SRP) supposed to be implemented” jointly by the region’s the Ministry of Trade Industry and Tourism (MTIT), Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), and the Ministry of Health (MOH).

He said the regional ceiling was vital in the deployment of monitoring teams in Marawi City and 39 towns in Lanao del Sur to effectively implement Republic Act 7581 or the Price Act of 1992.

Earlier, the office of Adiong partnered with the Bangon Marawi Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and other local business groups to deploy rolling stores around the province to sell food and basic goods directly to the people.
