Pasay City mayor Calixto-Rubiano tests negative for COVID-19

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano tested negative for COVID-19, days after she placed herself under self-quarantine.

According to the Public Information Office, a swab test was conducted by the Pasay City Health Office (CHO) on the mayor which was sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Muntinlupa. Calixto-Rubiano was then informed on Monday, April 13, by the CHO that she tested negative. Despite this, she will continue with her 14-day self-quarantine.
Last week, according to the mayor, she received a phone call from a person she was exposed to. That person underwent a swab test and turned out positive for COVID-19. She added that she did the self-quarantine also the welfare of the people around her.
The mayor reminded the citizens of Pasay that she continues to work from home and that the operations of the city hall will not be halted including medical services, the distribution of food packs and the disinfection of the city.
