Number of COVID-19 cases in Cavite province now at 96

IMUS CITY – Cavite province now has 96 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) confirmed cases, Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla has reported.

In a message posted in his Facebook account on Friday afternoon, April 10, Remulla confirmed the surge in positive cases as the number of tests that have been conducted in the province have increased.

With his post, Remulla also reported that there were already 96 total confirmed cases in 19 of the 23 cities and municipalities of Cavite that the Department of Health (DOH)-Cavite reported lately.

The DOH report showed that Tagaytay City, and the municipalities of Magallanes, General Emilio Aguinaldo, and Amadeo have remained COVID-19- free in the province.

Cavite, a first class province, has eight districts comprising seven cities and 16 municipalities. The historical and tourist-destination province is the most populated in Luzon.

The case summary breakdown as reported by Remulla was as follows: Alfonso,1 case; Bacoor City, 31 (6 new); Carmona, 1; Cavite City, 2;. Dasmarinas City, 13; General Trias City. 8; General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), 1; Imus, 13; Indang, 1; Maragondon, 1; Mendez-Nuñez. 1, Kawit, 1 (new); Naic, 4; Noveleta, 3; Rosario, also called Salinas; 2; Silang, 4; Tanza, 8 (1 new); Ternate, 1; and Trece Martires City, 1.
