The Navotas fish port will temporarily cease operations on Black Saturday, 11 April, for disinfection.
The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) made the announcement on its Facebook page on Friday evening to "ensure the safety and health of their fish traders, viajeros, buyers and other workers" against the threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
PFDA said the complex will continue its operations on Sunday with the following schedule:
Market Halls 3, 4 and 5 open at 9:00 a.m; and Market Halls 1 & 2 open at 12:00 p.m.
