Las Pinas Mayor Aguilar cites solemn observance of Holy Week during the pandemic

Las Pinas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar shared some tips in observance of Holy Week in the wake of the pandemic for the city residents to reflect on.

Aguilar told the residents that while they are reflecting and asking guidance inside their houses, the city government continues to work to serve the community in the distribution of family food packs and conducts disinfection and sanitation in villages and subdivisions.

She noted that many people's personal plans in celebrating the Holy Week had been cancelled.

The mayor reminded her constituents that they can be physically distant but spiritually united; pray one meter apart together until COVID-19 departs; clean your heart and homes for Christ and stay at home and read about the life and teachings of the Lord.

Aguilar residents to continue the practice of social distancing to help in stopping the spread of the coronavirus.

She said that prayer is the most effective tool in fighting the virus for the whole country.
