Fish prices shoot up this Holy Week

Retail prices of fish have increased this Holy Week.

In a wet market in Quezon City, the price of bangus (milkfish) is now P180 to P200 per kilo, up P20 to P30 kilo from last week. The suggested retail price (SRP) of bangus is P162 per kilo.
Tilapia is P130 per kilo, up from last week’s P120 per kilo. The SRP of tilapia is P120 per kilo.
Meanwhile, Department of Agriculture Secretary William Dar assured the public that there is an adequate supply of food while Luzon is under the enhanced community quarantine.
“We have enough supplies coming from the various provinces around Metro Manila,” Dar told GMA News.
