4.4-magnitude quake hits Siquijor

A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Siquijor on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 8:30 p.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 45 kilometers northeast of Maria, Siquijor.
The quake had a depth of 21 km and was felt under the following Intensities:
Intensity V – Maria, Siquijor
Intensity IV – Lazi, Siquijor; Panglao, Dauis, Baclayon, Garcia Hernandez, Jagna and Tagbilaran City, Bohol
Intensity III – Enrique Villanueva, Siquijor; Loay, Bilar, Carmen, Cortes, Candijay and Duero, Bohol
Intensity II – Pilar, and Trinidad, Bohol
Intensity I – Dumaguete City; Mambajao, Camiguin
No aftershocks and damages are expected from the tremor.
