Musicians who upload their music on SoundCloud might be able to earn from their art.

SoundCloud will now let users add a button that directs people to payment services like PayPal and Patreon, allowing fans to directly support their favorite artists.

In a blog post, SoundCloud said: “We’ve built this feature to help creators impacted by the COVID-19 virus and will keep it active as long as we’re all in this so you can fund your projects, offset bills, or get whatever you need to stay on your feet.”

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, SoundCloud has been finding ways to support their creators, such as 50% off on Pro Unlimited.

Normally, a Pro Unlimited cost $12 per month if billed annually, $8 if billed monthly. The Pro Unlimited opens several tools that creators can use to help them build a music career. The service also includes immediate Twitch Affiliate status that will allow musicians to earn from their livestreams on Twitch, without a number of requirements.

Among other initiatives by SoundCloud is live creator office hours, allowing a the SoundCloud team to host real-time discussions, AMAs, and workshops.

On a different blog post SoundCloud said, “We will continue to look for additional ways to support the global SoundCloud community in the weeks ahead. This will include financial and promotional support to organizations that provide creator services beyonf what we can deliver on SoundCloud.”
